The Location
L`Etang Roux is a clay bottomed lake with natural silt pockets. The lake is over 2 metres deep with good natural margins . The setting of the lake is a haven for the local wildlife . The swims have been purpose built and cut into the tree line to offer total seclusion giving superb fishing conditions for all who fish here.
January 2006 saw the initial stocking of the lake with over 2000 kg of carp being introduced . This consisted of mainly mirror carp with some common carp included. All the fish were carefully inspected and vetted before they were put into the lake. With over 100 Carp in the range of 20-45lbs, this gives the chance for a substantial bag during your stay at L`Etang Roux.
The lake is fed from a wide catchment area ensuring a good flow of water at all times. In addition to the natural food resources the fish are being supplied with extra feed to ensure maximum extra growth.
L`Etang Roux is situated in the Franche Comte’ region of France. It is about six hours drive from Calais with a direct uncomplicated route on the motorway ending only 10 mins from the lake. Detailed travel instructions to the lake will be issued with the confirmation of your booking.
